Money has been raised for the Severn Hospice and Hope House by recycling cardboard which is no longer collected via kerbside collections. The scheme was coordinated by Transition Town Shrewsbury, who requested bulk bags to be used to transport the unwanted cardboard. It is not yet known how much money was raised from about 5 tonnes of cardboard, but Shropshire Building Supplies are pleased to have helped out by contributing the use of their bulk bags, which are also recyclable!
