Timber Certification News From SBS

Shropshire Building Supplies are pleased to announce that we have achieved certification for both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programmer for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Our Certification codes are SA - COC-002375 for FSE and SA-PEFC/COC-002375 for PEFC.
We are finding huge price increases for all timber and metal based products. Price is becoming secondary to supply now on some timbers. Product availability going forward with the cuts that many suppliers have made will be a serious issue if there are any spikes in demand. We are now selling Sapele hardwood as well as Meranti. Anything imported is being affected in price due to increasing shipping costs.
