Joinery
Unsorted joinery -this is the best quality redwood joinery, where the lower grades have been removed (sorted). Unsorted joinery is mainly used in the manufacture of stairs, windows and doors, but can also be used for machined products such as skirting boards, dado rails and architraves etc.
5th grade redwood - this is the next grade, tends to be more multipurpose and then 6th grade redwood is the lowest grade with larger knots and more defects - though this can sometimes enhance the look of certain furniture items.
